What we are and aren't
Tallahassee French Drains is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.
Florida's statute exempts only casual, minor work under $2,500 from contractor licensing, and that exemption doesn't cover someone who advertises as a contractor or splits a bigger job into small contracts. Look up any license on the Florida DBPR site, and ask for proof of insurance, nearby references, who will request Sunshine 811 locates, and a written plan that shows exactly where the water will end up. Inside city limits, ask the City of Tallahassee about permits; outside them, ask Leon County Development Support and Environmental Management.
