Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your address, so the request reaches a contractor who works there
- What the water does: pools in the lawn, runs toward the house, or gets underneath it
- Whether you're inside Tallahassee city limits or in unincorporated Leon County
- Photos or a short video taken during a storm, if you have them
- Any sinkhole, depression, HOA rule or drainage easement you know about
New hole or sudden sinking spot in the yard? Keep people, pets and cars away from it, don't pipe water toward it or fill it with trash or yard waste, contact your homeowner's insurer, and have a qualified professional evaluate it before anyone digs nearby.
